Privacy Policy
We collect the minimum data needed to run our service, store it securely, and never sell it to anyone. This policy explains exactly what we collect, why, who we share it with, and what rights you have over it — including under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Last updated: 20 May 20261. Who we are
"Forex Indicator", "we", "us" and "our" refer to the company operating forex-indicator.com. For the purposes of EU data-protection law, we act as the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.
To exercise any of the rights described below, or for any data-protection question, contact us at support@forex-indicator.com.
2. What data we collect
Data you give us
- Account & contact data: name, email address, Telegram handle (if you choose to share it), country.
- Order data: the products you bought, your subscription period, your trading-account number(s) for licensing.
- Support data: any information you send us in tickets, chat or emails — including screenshots and account numbers.
Data collected automatically
- Technical data: IP address, browser type and version, device type, operating system, and language preferences.
- Usage data: pages you visit, time on site, referring URL, anonymised click events.
- Cookies and similar technologies: see section 7 below.
3. Why we collect it
- To process your order, license your product to the trading account number you supplied, and deliver the file to you
- To provide customer support and respond to your messages
- To send transactional emails (receipts, expiry reminders, product updates)
- To detect and prevent fraud, chargebacks and abuse
- To improve the website, our products and our marketing
- To comply with legal obligations (e.g. tax records)
4. Legal basis (GDPR)
If you're in the European Economic Area, UK or Switzerland, we rely on the following lawful bases under Article 6 of the GDPR:
- Contract — to deliver the products and subscriptions you purchase.
- Legitimate interests — to secure our site, prevent fraud, and improve our service, balanced against your privacy rights.
- Consent — for non-essential cookies, marketing emails, and any optional analytics. You can withdraw consent at any time.
- Legal obligation — to keep tax and accounting records required by law.
5. Payments (Stripe & crypto)
We do not store full payment-card details on our servers. Card payments are processed by Stripe, an independent payment processor:
- Card data is collected directly by Stripe over a secure, encrypted connection.
- Stripe is PCI-DSS Level 1 certified and processes payment information in line with its own privacy policy: stripe.com/privacy.
- We receive only confirmation of payment, a transaction reference, the last 4 digits of the card, and the billing email — no full card numbers.
Cryptocurrency payments are processed on-chain. We record the receiving wallet address, transaction hash, network, and amount — no personal data beyond what you submit at checkout.
6. Analytics & tracking
We use privacy-respecting analytics to understand which pages are useful, where users get stuck, and how marketing channels perform. Where required by law, these are enabled only after you consent via the cookie banner.
- Web analytics — page views, sessions, referrers, country (IP-derived, not stored at full precision).
- Conversion tracking — checkout completions for our payment processors, attributed to the marketing source.
- No selling of data — we never sell, rent or trade personal data to third parties for their own marketing.
7. Cookies
A cookie is a small text file stored on your device. We use a small number of cookies:
- Strictly necessary — to keep you logged in, hold the contents of your cart, and remember your cookie preferences. These cannot be switched off and don't require consent.
- Functional — to remember choices like language and theme.
- Analytics — to count visits and traffic sources. Loaded only after consent.
- Marketing — to measure ad campaigns. Loaded only after consent.
You can withdraw or change consent at any time via the cookie-settings link in our footer, or by clearing cookies in your browser. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may break parts of the site.
8. Who we share data with
We share data only with the parties needed to run the service, and only on a need-to-know basis:
- Payment processors — Stripe (for card payments).
- Hosting and infrastructure — our website host and cloud providers.
- Email and messaging providers — for transactional emails and support replies.
- Analytics providers — subject to your consent (see section 6).
- Law enforcement — only when legally required, e.g. a valid court order.
Where data is transferred outside the EEA, we rely on EU Standard Contractual Clauses or an equivalent safeguard.
9. How long we keep data
- Account & order data — for as long as you have an active subscription, plus the period required by tax law (typically 7 years for invoicing records).
- Support correspondence — up to 3 years after the last message.
- Analytics and cookie data — up to 24 months, often less.
You can request earlier deletion at any time (see section 10).
10. Your rights (GDPR)
Under the GDPR (and similar laws in the UK and Switzerland), you have the right to:
- Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Rectification — ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data
- Erasure ("right to be forgotten") — request that we delete your personal data, subject to legal retention obligations
- Restriction — ask us to temporarily stop processing your data
- Portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format
- Objection — object to processing based on legitimate interests, including marketing
- Withdraw consent — at any time, where processing is based on consent
- Complain — to your local data-protection authority. In the EU, find yours at edpb.europa.eu.
11. Security
We use encryption in transit (HTTPS), encryption at rest where appropriate, access controls, and regular backups to keep your data safe. No system is perfectly secure, so we encourage you to use a strong, unique password and to enable two-factor authentication wherever it's offered.
12. Children
Our services are not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we'll delete it.
13. Changes
When we update this policy, we change the "Last updated" date at the top. For material changes, we notify active customers by email. Continued use of our services after a change means acceptance of the new policy.
